Manual physical therapy referrs to the specific form of treatment in which your therapist uses "hands-on" treatment to deliver pressure, massage or manipulation to your muscles, fascia, other soft tissues or joints in order to decrease pain and restore normal movement. Manual therapy techniques are typically utilized to promote adaptation of tissues, decrease tissue restrictions, increase blood flow circulation and promote tissue healing.
